Mara Sfara is a contemporary sculptor and painter.
Her use of beautiful colors and idyllic, serene landscapes reflect her positive nature. Her whimsical bronze sculptures are based on mythology. She is also a designer of jewelry which she considers to be wearable sculptures. In any medium, Mara draws in viewers, evokes emotion and tells a story – one that is optimistic and uplifting.  She studied English, Film Criticism and fine arts and obtained her Master’s of Arts from New York University.

Mara’s paintings and sculptures are regularly exhibited in galleries and museums across the nation including  the permanent collection of the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Garden City, New York, the QCC Art Museum, Queens, New York and the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Ct. She has shown her work in New York City, Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, California, Waterbury, Connecticut, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Leon, Spain.

She is a member of The Salmagundi and The National Arts Clubs in New York City and she now resides in Farmington, CT.
